Ciao, Hola, and Hello. My name is Walter Gustavo Serpa and I was born in Lima, Peru. At the age of 6 years my mom divorced my dad and decided to migrate to the United States. She always dreamed of living in California but we ended up living in New York City. Living on 138th street between Broadway and Amsterdam was not the best neighborhood, however, having an older sister look out for me did help. Even though my mom was a professor in Peru for 15 years, in the states her education was not good enough. Do you think that stopped my mom? No way. She went back to school and received her Bachelors Degree then went on to get her Masters. She’s very, very close to accomplishing her Doctrine Degree, however, the finances are not available. To be a certified professor you must pass different tests in a timely manner and due to my moms lack of quickness, she was not able to get that certificate. She did teach English as a second language and was a pre-professor for many years.
